MY NAME IS NOUR ELMASSRY I'M A FILM PRODUCTION DESIGNER AND PHOTOGRAPHER BASED IN CAIRO, EGYPT.
Biography
I STUDIED FILM SET DESIGN AND VISUAL ARTS AT THE FACULTY OF FINE ARTS IN CAIRO. MY WORK BRINGS TOGETHER CINEMA, PHOTOGRAPHY, AND DESIGN TO CREATE VISUAL STORIES INSPIRED BY EGYPTIAN CULTURE AND MY PERSONAL EXPERIENCES. I AM INSPIRED BY THE CONNECTION BETWEEN HISTORY AND THE PRESENT, EXPLORING THEMES OF TIME, MEMORY, AND PLACE.
I STARTED MY PHOTOGRAPHY JOURNEY IN 2016, USING MY UNDERSTANDING OF COMPOSITION, COLOR, LIGHT, AND SPACE TO CREATE IMAGES THAT FEEL LIKE SCENES FROM A FILM.

"The camera is not merely a tool for recording reality; it is a mechanism for distillation. I seek to strip away the noise of the contemporary world, isolating moments of profound geometric harmony and quietude." Her methodology is deliberative and slow, often returning to the same location for weeks to observe the shifting character of light.
